Taxi Málaga Airport → Golden Mile
The Golden Mile runs between Marbella centre and Puerto Banús along the A-7, lined with the most exclusive hotels and estates on the coast: Puente Romano, Marbella Club, the King Fahd palace and the Sierra Blanca foothills behind. It is 47 minutes from Málaga Airport and the drop-off is always at a hotel entrance or private gate.

The Bulevar and the beach roads: reading the Golden Mile
The Golden Mile is the four kilometres of coast between Marbella town and Puerto Banús, threaded by the Bulevar Príncipe Alfonso von Hohenlohe, the old N-340. Coming from the airport the driver stays on the AP-7 to the Marbella junction and then follows the Bulevar west, so the seafront hotels appear one after the other on the left: Don Pepe at the town end, then Marbella Club and Puente Romano, with the Nobu entrance alongside.
Beach-side addresses are reached from lanes that leave the Bulevar towards the sea, several of them one-way. Mountain-side addresses, in Nagüeles, Lomas del Marbella Club or Río Verde, are reached from the roundabouts on the same road. It takes 47 minutes from the terminal to the first hotel gate and a few more to the far end near Río Verde.
Resort entrances, porters and where the car actually stops
The big resorts on this stretch have porticoed entrances with staff who take the luggage from the boot, so the drop-off is a single stop at reception. Villas and apartment complexes are different: Las Lomas del Marbella Club, Marbella Real, Ancón Sierra and the estates on the hill each have their own gate, and the driver brings the car to the community entrance or, with a code, to the villa itself.
A small detail that saves time: several complexes on the Golden Mile share a name with a hotel or a street. Give us the full name as written on your booking or rental contract and the driver checks it against the entrance signs before leaving the Bulevar.
What makes this stretch different from Marbella centre
The Golden Mile has no town centre of its own; it is a line of hotels, beach clubs and residential estates with a few restaurant clusters. Guests arriving here rarely need to walk anywhere on the first evening, which is why the hotel forecourt drop-off matters more than in the old town. The trade-off is that a chemist or a supermarket means a short drive, and the driver will tell you where the nearest one is.
Prices reflect the position: €79 for a sedan, between Marbella centre and Puerto Banús. Whether you are at the town end by Don Pepe or the far end at Río Verde, the fare is the same, tolls not included, and the return to the airport is the exact double.

Local tips for your arrival
- Copy the accommodation name exactly from your booking: several Golden Mile complexes share names with hotels and streets.
- Beach-side lanes off the Bulevar are one-way; the driver knows which end to enter, so do not worry if the satnav disagrees.
- There is no shop cluster on the Golden Mile itself; ask the driver for the nearest supermarket before you get out.
- Resort guests: the porters take the luggage at the portico, so you only need your booking name at the desk.
Back to the airport from Golden Mile
Pickups for the flight home are at the resort portico or the gate of your estate, and the drive back along the Bulevar and the AP-7 takes 47 minutes in normal traffic. Allow two hours at the terminal, or two and a half in high season and for non-Schengen flights, so an 18:00 flight means leaving the Golden Mile at about 15:10. The porters will have your bags at the entrance if you tell reception the pickup time the evening before.

How much is a taxi from Málaga Airport to Golden Mile?
A private sedan for up to 4 passengers costs €79 one way; the estate €95 and the minivan for up to 8 passengers €119. Prices include luggage and VAT. Tolls are not included: we take the toll-free A-7 and, if you prefer the AP-7 motorway, the toll is paid separately.
How long is the drive from Málaga Airport to Golden Mile?
About 47 minutes for 60 km, using the AP-7 motorway where available. Summer weekends can add 10 to 20 minutes.
Which vehicle do you recommend for a Golden Mile hotel arrival?
Any of the three is a Mercedes-class vehicle. For a couple the sedan is ideal; families with several suitcases usually prefer the estate, and groups of five or more travel in the minivan.
Is the Golden Mile the same price as Marbella centre?
Slightly more: €79 for a sedan instead of €75, because it lies a little further west along the Bulevar. Any address between the Don Pepe end and Río Verde is covered by the same fare.
Will the driver take us to the hotel reception or to the road?
To the reception portico. The resorts on the Golden Mile have vehicle entrances with staff waiting for arrivals, and the driver hands the luggage to them at the door.
We are staying in a villa above the Bulevar; is that still the Golden Mile price?
Yes. Nagüeles, Lomas del Marbella Club, Ancón Sierra and the other hillside estates are included in the €79 fare, gate or no gate.
Where does the driver meet me at Málaga Airport?
In the arrivals hall of Terminal 3, holding a sign with your name. All flights, including Terminal 2 arrivals, exit through the same hall.
