Where the toll road ends: the Guadiaro exit and the estate beyond
Sotogrande is the point where the AP-7 toll motorway finishes, at the Guadiaro river, and the Sotogrande exit is about 80 minutes from the arrivals hall in normal traffic. The €149 fare does not cover the toll section from Málaga, which is paid separately if you choose the AP-7; the last part is a few kilometres of estate roads that were built wide and straight decades ago.
The estate is divided by the A-7 into Sotogrande Costa, on the sea side, and Sotogrande Alto, on the hill around the golf courses. Both have a network of gates and private roads; the addresses are plot numbers and street names such as Paseo del Parque or Avenida de los Cortijos, and the driver needs the full one to take you to the door.
Marina, polo and the golf courses of the Alto
Sotogrande Costa is built around the Marina, with its apartment islands, and the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande and the beach club on the Guadiaro side. Sotogrande Alto climbs to Valderrama, La Reserva and Almenara, with the polo fields of Santa María in the valley between. Each area has a different gate from the main avenues, so telling us which side you are on saves several minutes.
Golf is why most of our guests come. Two players with clubs travel in the estate car; four in the minivan, which takes the bags flat with the suitcases. If your first round is on the day you land, the driver can drop players at the club house and take the luggage on to the house, as long as you mention it in the booking.
Pueblo Nuevo, Torreguadiaro and the rental villages
Outside the gates, Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro is the working village with the supermarkets, the pharmacy and the schools, and Torreguadiaro is the beach village east of the marina with restaurants along the front. Many rentals described as Sotogrande are actually in one of these two, at the same fare; the driver simply leaves the motorway at the same exit and turns the other way.
For a supermarket stop on arrival the shops in Pueblo Nuevo are on the way from the exit; mention it in the booking notes and the driver plans a short halt. Child seats are free and fitted before the driver leaves for the airport.

Local tips for your arrival
- Costa or Alto? Say which, plus the street and plot number: the gates are on opposite sides of the A-7.
- Golfers landing and playing the same day: put the tee time in the notes and the driver drops you at the club house first.
- Rentals in Pueblo Nuevo or Torreguadiaro pay the Sotogrande fare; no need to look for another page.
- Long stays: a supermarket halt in Pueblo Nuevo on the way in is easy to arrange in the booking notes.
Back to the airport from Sotogrande
Return pickups are at the house, the marina block or the club house if you are coming off the course, and the driver is on the AP-7 at Guadiaro within minutes; the airport is 80 minutes away. Add two hours at the terminal, two and a half in summer and for flights outside Schengen, so a 12:00 flight means leaving Sotogrande at about 08:35. We confirm the time with you the evening before and the driver waits fifteen minutes free at the door.
