On the New Golden Mile, not in Estepona town
The Kempinski Bahía is on the coast between Estepona and Marbella, at kilometre 159 of the A-7, in the stretch known as the New Golden Mile. Estepona's old town and port are about ten minutes further west; Puerto Banús is fifteen minutes east. The hotel sits on the sea side of the road with terraced gardens running down to the beach, and the entrance is directly off the A-7 service lane, so the driver pulls into the porte-cochère without any detour through residential streets.
Leaving the toll road at the right exit
From the airport the AP-7 runs all the way past Marbella and San Pedro; the driver stays on it to the Cancelada or Estepona East exit, then joins the A-7 for the last few kilometres along the coast. Expect around 60 minutes door to door. Families with small children often pick the minivan for the extra space, and the free child seats are fitted before the driver leaves for the airport. The hotel also draws golfers: Estepona Golf, El Paraíso and Atalaya are all within a short drive.
