The first five-star you reach from Málaga
Los Monteros lies east of Marbella town, on the sea side of the A-7, which makes it the closest of the classic Marbella hotels to the airport. The driver does not need to enter the town at all: he leaves the motorway at the Marbella east junction, joins the service road and turns into the hotel driveway. Around the hotel are the villas of the Los Monteros estate, the Río Real golf course across the river and La Cabane beach club on the shore. The centre of Marbella is about ten minutes further west when you want it.
Golf bags and quiet arrivals
Río Real is next door and Santa Clara, Marbella Golf and Cabopino are within fifteen minutes, so many guests arrive with clubs. Two golf bags plus suitcases fit comfortably in the estate; a group of four golfers with bags is better in the minivan, where nothing needs to go on the seats. The hotel is a peaceful place, and the transfer is quick even at night, about 42 minutes with no toll queues on the way back.

The minivan. It takes up to eight passengers and eight bags, so four people with clubs and suitcases travel without anything on their laps. For two golfers the estate is enough and a little cheaper.
